The State Government has asked Reliance to expedite establishing 500 compressed biogas plants with an investment of Rs.65,000 crore across Andhra Pradesh.

Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar directed the Reliance to co-ordinate with State Energy Department to ensure that CBG plants being developed by Reliance in Andhra Pradesh continues to progress swiftly and efficiently.

The Minister said that the establishment of CBG plants will not only benefit local farmers but also create employment and livelihood opportunities for educated youth, encouraging people to voluntarily come forward to support the setting up of these plants.

The Minister gave the direction at a high-level meeting held at the Secretariat to review the progress of Reliance’s green energy investments.
